As announced in the previous newsletter, there was a Patterns and Sparring competition for juniors at the Royal Masonic School, Rickmansworth, on Sunday the 28th of June.

As with all competitions there were representatives of various clubs from around the country with a total of approximately 180 participants, and I am pleased to say that a few youngsters from our club took part in such event and did a very good job to represent us.

They are: Anish Camadoo, Conrad Pope, Max Brogan, Gabriel Weston, Alastair Malone, Emile Hohman and Tyrane Wynter.

Emile and Tyrane came back with a silver medal each for sparring, with the rest narrowly missing a position in the medals chart, but nevertheless all seven of them gave 100% commitment and came back a lot wiser and more enthusiastic than ever, Congratulations to all of you!!

A big thank you to the parents as well for their support and for ferrying the kids to and from the event!

SPARRING SEMINAR WITH A
WORLD CHAMPION…

World renowned Ukrainian competitor Katya Solovey will be giving a 3 hour seminar in one of her rare visits to the UK. She will be joined by her coach and husband Oleg, one of the coaches of the Ukrainian team.
The event is open to everyone, as usual bring all your equipment and plenty of water.

- WAKO World championship bronze medal

The next seminar and Black Belt Grading will be on Saturday September 26th 2009 at the Royal Masonic School, Rickmansworth.
The time will be announced closer to the date.

Session with Dutch Master

Dutch coach Master W Van der Mortel VII Degree will be giving a seminar on Sunday 27th September 2009.
