Master Tran Trieu Quan

This was a great opportunity to improve our knowledge on areas like patterns, competition rules, sparring drills and self defence techniques from the elite of the ITF and alongside world class competitors from as far as Canada, Spain and Argentina.

JUNIOR COMPETITION

On June 25th Pantera organised a junior competition for all grades up to 12 years of age. The competitors came mainly from the club although there were participants from other schools, and they all demonstrated a good level of performance in the different disciplines that comprised the event: sparring, patterns and team patterns.

I am glad to say that the event ran very smoothly and without any incidents mainly thanks to the black belts who helped out in the refereeing, judging, etc during the day.

It was also a good opportunity to introduce the youngsters to the world of competitions, with the aim that one day they will be competing at a National and International level.

WELL DONE EVERYONE!!

SUNDAY SPECIAL SESSIONS

Designed to concentrate on specific areas of Taekwon-Do, these sessions will be the base of a future list of members to be considered to be part of a Pantera Team which will represent the club at
competitions, demonstrations and special events. There will be grade and age divisions as well as team and individual placements.

-The scheme will start running
as from October 2006-

BEST GRADING AWARD

There will be an award for the best performer at colour belt gradings.
Students give everything on these occasions, but sometimes there is more will than technique.
The aim is to improve the level of the club by encouraging people to prepare thoroughly for gradings in order to shine on the day.

As levels are moving up, the marking will get tougher as well, so please get in the right frame of mind in order to achieve your goal.
